Slurry Pump Shaft Seal Parts
The shaft seal is one of the most important function in any centrifugal slurry pumps, its purpose is to plug the hole in frame plate where the shaft passes through, thereby restricting leakage. If the shaft seal fail, slurry can cause considerable damage, leading to the down time and costly repair.
There are two basic shaft seal types, gland packing seal and centrifugal expeller seal, the correct type of seal must be carefully selected to suit each individual application.
